Savannah Jack, February 8th-March 6th
Savannah Jack traveled to Independence, Missouri on February 10th with Kenny Rogers. It was great to see our friends in the crew again. They had their poker game going as usual. We played a brand new arena. Then we traveled to Aurora, Illinois for two nights at the beautiful Paramount Theater, built in 1934. Don’s son Tyler went on the trip with us. The following week, we headed right back to Kansas City, Missouri for a private show. The weather got rough that night, which made heading back to Nashville the following morning a little tough. Played The Stage in Nashville before heading to Hawaii. The trip to Hawaii, with the exception of the show we did, did not go as planned, starting with changing planes in Nashville right off the bat, going to Houston instead of Chicago, then the airlines lost our luggage. The guys had to buy clothes at Target just to have something to wear. Then the airlines sent some of the stuff back to Chicago, and some of the stuff finally arrived the night of the show. At 6:30 the next morning, we were awakened to a siren and phone call to our room that a Tsunami was coming and we had to evacuate. We drove to higher ground and had an amazing breakfast at the little out of the way place. We hung out on the hillside watching for the big wave to come and it never did. On the plane ride back home, the Steve Miller Band was on our flight. They were coming to town to do Crossroads with Kenny Chesney. Our record is coming out May 3rd and we are in Close-Up magazine for who to look for in 2010. The month of March we have alot of work to do to get ready for a big 2010.
